I am new to yoga, and I am not sure how much I can do, where is the best place to start?
Well, you already took the first step by coming here. That says a lot! I encourage you to just show up and watch from a comfy chair or bed. In this practice, less is more. Begin by visualizing the movement and then, if appropriate for your body, engage in movements using half your capacity. Go slow in order to safely establish your baseline, and only then is it advised to increase duration or load. Please be sure to discuss this with your medical practitioner prior to begining a class.
Do I need to register for an online live class ahead of time?
Yes. Registration closes 5 minutes prior to each class, so you must purchase your class prior to start time. It is advisable to purchase classes in advance and mark them on your calendar.
Please give yourself plenty of time to log on. I recommend joining 10 minutes prior to each class in case of any technical issues and to allow yourself time to get set up and settled before starting class. You also can log on earlier and will be placed in a 'waiting room'. We aim to start class right on time.

Your health & safety is always first!
No one knows your body better than you! You are encouraged to modify movements as needed and rest when necessary. All movements can be be done from a seated or supine (lying down) position. There should never be force, strain or pushing through. It's about meeting your full self where it's at, and responding with compassion. I am just your guide, so please remember to check in with your body regularily. Always check with your health practioner before starting
Setting up your space at home.
Take the time to set up a space for yourself where you will ideally not be disturbed and have enough space.
Have props and a drink close by.
Display streaming device where you can easily see the screen, and I can see you.
Microphone and sound.
Before class starts, please mute yourself to avoid disruptions and noise feedback. You will find this option when you first log on to Zoom. However, feel free to unmute yourself at anytime if you need to ask a question or require clarification.
Please keep your web camera on during the online class as this provides me the opportunity to monitor your movements and teach accordingly. This also encourages a safe and more connected community. Once class begins, I will be spotlighted so no one else will see you but me. However, your comfort is key and this decision is ultimately yours, please notify me prior to class if you need to keep your camera off.
Please note, all participants are strictly prohibited to personally record or take screen shots.
